Personal History: To be perfectly frank, it could be said that Li Zheng was a complete accident. To Shihong and Ritsuko Zheng, she definitely was. After living a few years comfortably with their only son, Xianmin, Ritsuko found out that she was expecting another child. Living in the already far-too populated city of Wuhan, the child would have been at great risk of being taken away from them. They couldn’t give Li up, so Ritsuko had her in secret, and the two adults raised two children, which was against the Chinese policy of one child per family. Surprisingly, they lived like this for quite a long time. They moved to a smaller city in China, of course, but Shihong and Ritsuko could live with both children. After nine years of this, they both realized they didn’t want to live in hiding this long, so they moved out of the county and to Winchester, where Ritsuko had a sister.

Growing up with her parents, Li became what you could call bi-lingual, speaking in Chinese to her father and Japanese to her mother. English is her second (or is it third?) language. It’s a rather interesting thing, they all speak in their favorite language, but everyone in the house can understand.

Being muggles, the family lived a happy life from then on. Until one day, when Li was doing her brother’s chores, and she discovered that she could lift Xianmin’s pet snake without having to touch it. Naturally, her mother and father were mortified. They had no idea what to think. Soon after, Li got her acceptance letter in the mail, and she was ultimately excited. And so she was on her way to Hogwarts.

Upon arriving, she felt a little out of place, because she had spent her entire life living as a Muggle. She sat on the stool and had the sorting hat placed on her head, but when it called out ‘Hufflepuff’, Li felt a small pang of relief. She made friends quickly due to her outgoing personality, and she strived to do her best.

Personality: Li is a hyperactive ball of fun. She tends to be a bit of a spaz, and she can be blunt sometimes. She is a selfless person, and growing up with a brother made her learn that she needed to share everything (and he taught her to be competitive as well). And so she does! If there’s ever a time when someone is sitting alone, she’ll do her best to be a weirdo just to cheer them up. The only time she isn’t this hyperactive thing is when she’s talking with someone that she’s completely head-over-heels for. Li has a hard time being the romantic type, and usually she thinks she’s doing something stupid. It’s like she has the romantically-dumb brain of a boy, but she’s trying to impress the person like a girl. She hates herself for that. And also, on the topic of romance, Li doesn’t have a ‘sexual preference’, really. Her philosophy is that you can’t help who you fall in love with, be it a man or a woman. Usually she goes for men, but there could be that occasional woman she’ll drool over as well!

Physical Description: Li is of very petite stature. She stands at the grandiose height of 5'1", and weighs about 109 lbs. She could be bigger, but she eats healthily and works out like nobody’s business. Even with her small build, though, she can be a tough cookie, taking on fights with her big brother who is about twice her size. Li keeps her hair short all the time, and because of her lack of feminine features, some might mistake her for a boy. She’s in good shape, on top of everything, and she loves her teeth (her dad has very nice teeth).

Personal History: Being the 2nd child and the 1st boy was always hard on Alastar, when he wanted his parents attention. He would usually bicker about it with Penny that he was the more loved child of the two of them. He did make it easier for them after all, by doing everything they wanted and not making a single argument of it. This might later be the cause for his refinement and well-mannered countenance further in life as he grew up. While in the household, Alastar saw himself as the lawmaker of the family when Arthur stepped out, because Penny wasn’t exactly the type to be strict and punishing to their younger siblings. Of course, he was only like that out of love for them. Over protective some might have easily described this feature. As they grew up, he bonded well with all of them, mainly his brothers because they were also boys, even his oldest sister, though they still had their arguments from time to time which no one in the house enjoyed hearing, but they would make up after quickly, then a few days later return to that argument or start fresh with a new one.

He enjoyed his life of luxury rather well after his grandparents died, though he did miss them dearly, especially his grandfather to whom he was very close. He was able to get most of the things he wanted now, and they could afford it. Alastar didn’t really need it all really though, but life was just more sweeter with it.

As they all did, Alastar went to boarding school and received a fine education. He wasn’t incredibly intelligent but there was enough in his head to get him a little more than decent grades in school. When he got his Hogwarts letter though, he was thrilled even though he thought he would be stuck in Gryffindor with Penny and had to be forced to spend time with her, but in actuality he got to go to Hufflepuff where he made his own friends there, and had very much of a blast with them. Like his sister, though all the family grew up with the trait of a love for the game, he took up Quidditch on the house team his 2nd year as the team’s keeper, his finest position as he learned back at home when the family would get together to play.

When he had discovered that Penny had gotten herself impregnated over the summer between his 4th and 5th year, he had thought it was some publicity stunt to get his parents to favor her or him and thought it had worked, until she told them and he saw how frustrated they were. Alastar went to his sister’s side and tried to help comfort her as much as possible, because he was still her brother. Now he saw himself as her protector and that of his other siblings. He does not want to see any others in his family embarrassed like the way she was, especially the other younger girls.

Personality: Alastar was born and raised into the life of good manners, being a Pureblood and all, so, obviously, he was practically trained to be the most mature male in the Jennings household, other than his own father, though he would prefer to say that he is “wise beyond his years.” That doesn’t mean that he still doesn’t know how to let loose and boogie down. When he is amongst his friends or playing Quidditch, and none of his family is around, he can be the life of the party, or at least one of the hardest partiers in the room. During that time he can be just completely jovial unless he gets laughed at then he becomes embarrassed and cowers away in a corner to suck his thumb curled up in the fetal position (not really). Though when his family IS present, then he remains calm and collected to show some restraint and be the leader of the pack by example. Someone has to do the job, right?

He is the typical “boy-next-door” and friend to all who allow him to be, even Slytherin students that let him into their circle. Alastar has very few enemies, but to those that are, watch out, because he can turn on you in an instant if you push him, and he has no compunction what so ever to jump into a fight if you ever offend him or his family. No words about it, since he really can’t come up with words to fight back with, just attack, like the lion in his astrological sign. It is that type of loyalty to his family and friends that made him a Hufflepuff, but his courage is somewhat Gryffindor like. Around the ladies, still being young and all, he is uneasy towards them but he hides it all under his smile and charming disposition. Inside he thinks he can only screw up by saying or doing something stupid that will only increase his downfall. Especially if he fancies one of them, then that is a sight, for he will become a stammering idiot and just let everything go so no knowing what would happen there.

Personal History: Tarquin has been raised by his grandmother, Mabel, who cares for his so his parents can devote themselves to their work. Or at least that's what he tells others. Both are Aurors (his Dad is a Pureblood, Mother is a Muggleborn Wizard) and of good alignment. They do throw themselves fully into their work so a child never fit into their picture-perfect lives. Not much adventuring could be done with a child on their hip. But Tarquin was raised just not letting it get to him. It wasn't that they didn't want him, they were just busy. That's all. Considering that his grandmother raised him and all, she is the biggest star in his skies. Mabel is a sweet old retired Healer that has nothing better to do than raise her grandson to be every bit the caring, generous, loving Hufflepuff that she was back in the day. She became an example for him. She's the person he wants to be. When it comes to friends or other family, he's cut off from the most of them. His family isn't very big and his parents never bring him off to spend time with any of their other relations. And at one point, he had a friendship with an older boy down the road, but they grew apart once he graduated from Hogwarts. Speaking of, Hogwarts brought a world of opportunity to the boy. He was able to finally branch out and meet new people. He's known for his friendliness and the fact that he'd not hesitate to help a single person. It does mean, however, that he leaves himself out.

Personality: Tarquin definitely keeps to himself. Some would call him shy, though he's definitely not afraid to talk to others. When it comes to sharing his personal opinions, however he does hold himself back. Generally, he's also very cordial. His sorting, Hufflepuff, is proven in mostly everything he does. Like most people, however, he does have his short falls. Tarquin is very likely to hold a grudge and doesn't believe that people have the ability to change. Because of this, he is extremely wary of anyone he thinks to be bad, even if they are a changed souls that saw the error of their ways. Also, he's apt to work himself to the bone to help out others. He rarely says 'no'. Because of this, he makes life easier for everyone else but secretly despises the fact that he doesn't get anything in return. It doesn't stop him, though. In a nutshell, Tarquin is reserved, giving, caring, and spiteful. It really is a nice combo.

Physical Description: Tarquin is around 5'8" and about 137 pounds wet. He isn't the sort to work out so his build leaves much to be desired and food really just runs right through him. His eyes are brown with an intense gaze and his mop of brown hair always looks untidy. Outside of school, his dress is proper. He likes to wear dress shirts and slacks, though they're normally a mess or covered with an old, worn-out jumper or vest. His looks have never really been of any importance and it shows.

Personal History: 17 years ago Sam Waterstone (a wizard) and April Bardot (a muggle) met at a Halloween party and later that night Maxie was conceived. They didn’t see each other again until 8 months later when Sam was obligated to tell April that he was a wizard and there was a chance the baby would be a witch/wizard as well. Feeling horrified by something she didn’t understand, April wanted to give the child to Sam, she didn't want something unnatural. But Sam didn't want children, he liked his life carefree. So April put Maxie up for adoption on the day she was born.

Maxie was raised by Trevor and Liz Stephens until she was 4 and they got divorced. Maxie has always assumed the divorce must have had something to do with her because she never saw Trevor again and straight after they divorced, Liz went back to work, so Maxie never saw Liz either. Surely it wasn't just a coincidence that they both avoided her? It was, Trevor ran off with his secretary and Liz (now Liz Lloyd) immersed herself in work to drown her sorrows but no one told Maxie this. Seeds of self doubt started to grow.

The day her letter from Hogwarts came, was the happiest day of Maxie's life. She went to regular school but didn't have many close friends. Liz wasn't too sure what to make of it but understood now why the biological mother was in a hurry to get rid of baby Maxie. She told her daughter this and although saddened that her real mother hadn't wanted her, Maxie was intrigued by her father. She guessed correctly that he must be magical too but Liz didn't know his name, so Maxie couldn't track him down. Maxie resolved to one day get the means to find him.

Her first year at Hogwarts was wonderful and daunting but most importantly, she found friends who made her feel worthwhile. She hasn't looked back.

Personality: Maxie (or just Max) is friendly to all but finds she gets along better with boys than girls. It may be because she feels the women figures in her life have let her down more, or it may be because she only very briefly had a male influence in her life, that she’s making up for it now. She has adopted a few attributes that you'd relate more to beng male than female - she doesn't hug (affection for her friends is merely reduced to a pat on the shoulder) and she tells some crude jokes.

She’ll do anything for a friend, which may be considered a weakness as she sometimes lets her friends walk all over her. This stems from her abandonment issues – she’s willing to do anything to make sure her friends stay with her. She likes to set a good example for the younger kids though, so she won’t do anything rebellious in front of them. In fact, she feels a certain obligation to protect, support or stand up for anyone younger than herself.

She might sound like a softie but if you do her wrong she’s not afraid to have a go at you and she’ll stand up for what she thinks is right.

Maxie has to study hard to get good grades, something she hates because it involves staying seated. She’s very energetic and plans to work in magical law enforcement once she graduates (which coincidently might just help her track down her real father).

In the love department she's not exactly lucky. She tends to fall for charming boys who are only after a bit of a snog. Even when she knows someone is bad for her, she'll still fall, much to the dismay of her friends, who can't understand this. Don't worry, Maxie doesn't either. She thinks she needs someone who enjoys taking risks, who is determined and who is honest (but she may not know best).

She appreciates art and beauty without actually being creative herself.

Physical Description: Long blonde hair that she normally has curled at the end and green eyes. She has an athletic body but she’s fairly short, standing in at 5'2".
